About the Patient Receptionist Position

We are looking for a responsible patient receptionist who will be in charge of our reception area, acting as our company's 'face' and ensuring patients are properly welcomed. As our receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for the company, and you will provide administrative support across the organization.

You'll handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all receptionist responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered promptly, with high quality.

Receptionist Responsibilities

  • Assist patients by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately

  • Coordinate front desk tidiness and availability of all necessary stationary and materials.

  • Perform clerical duties, special projects and maintain records as position requiresOther operational support as needed

  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while presenting essential information when needed in a courteous and professional manner

  • Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers

  • Manage security by following procedures and controlling access

  • Update appointment calendars and plan meetings/appointments

  • Other operational support as needed

Receptionist Requirements

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting or hotel is preferred
  • Profound experience in customer service

  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable with proven attendance record
  • Resourceful and proactive, able to deal with issues as they arise

  • Capacity to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure

  • Must have experience working in a fast paced environment and have a passion for healthcare
  • High school degree
  • Bilingual is a plus, but not required
